Heat Transfer
Plate & Frame Heat Exchangers transfer heat more efficiently than shell and tube units in most applications. They use only 20% to 50% of space required by shell & tube units and are much lighter in weight. And, they cost less. As long as the operating temperatures and pressures do not exceed 180°C (356°F) or 27.5 bar (400 psi), a plate heat exchanger is worth a look.
Plate & Shell Exchanger enables you to obtain the thermal efficiency and compactness of plate & frame heat exchangers in elevated pressure/temperature applications. Until recently, heat exchangers in elevated pressure/temperature or corrosive media applications had to be shell & tube units. This meant constant tradeoffs in thermal efficiency, material mass and excessive physical footprint . . . No longer. They require only 30–50% of the space of equivalent shell and tube exchangers.
Used as a Natural Gas heater and installed upstream of pressure reducing stations, in order to prevent the gas temperature from dropping below the dew point of the gas and/or to avoid the pressure reducing station from freezing.
Steam
Robust, reliable and quality steam line equipment such as steam traps, pressure powered condensate recovery pumps, pressure reducing valves, filters, strainers, separators, check valves, sight glasses, air vents, air traps, flow meters etc.
A thermocompressor is a device that uses high pressure steam as a motive force to entrain a lower pressure steam, then discharge the mixture at an intermediate steam pressure. Integrating the device correctly into the steam and condensate system can save the plant a tremendous amount of energy and reduce emissions.
Desuperheating, sometimes called attemperation or steam conditioning, is the reduction of superheated steam temperature in a steam line through the direct contact and evaporation of water. In heating aplications cooling of superheated steam to saturated conditions results in smaller and cheaper heat exchange equipment.
Steam turbines powered by steam are used for electricity generation, for powering compressors / pumps / fans / mills / grinders, for energy efficient reduction of gas pressure in plants/transmission stations of gas pipelines. Steam turbines can be customized for any caacity and can be of different types: back pressure, condensing, with extraction / induction.
